What should I expect from you as my immigration lawyer?

What are your legal fees?

Our fees are very competitive. Legal fees are always quoted to you during your immigration consultation. During the consultation, we listen to you and make sure we understand your situation perfectly, prior to giving you a quote. We also make sure we have answered all your questions and that you understand the Canada Immigration program under which you are applying. We also need to understand your situation perfectly, prior to giving you a quote.
We charge you a flat-fee, not an hourly rate so there are never any surprises.

I want to hire you. What do I do next?

If you have completed a consultation with us and we have determined that we can help you, the next step is we email you a complete retainer agreement.

Sign and return the retainer agreement sent to you following the instructions contained therein. The retainer agreement outlines our fees, our obligations to you, our expectations of you and our refund policy.

Your file will be opened within 24 hours and we will email you a preliminary list of documents that we require from you. We will also immediately begin to gather the information we need to complete any application forms, submissions or other legal documents.

For greater accuracy, we prepare the forms on your behalf. We prepare legal submission that go with your forms outlining why your application should be successful. We make sure all your documents meet Citizenship and Immigration Canada standards and after your final review, we submit on your behalf. 

During the processing period, we will keep you updated on the status of your file and once your permit or visa is ready, we will make sure it is issued with no hassles.

You're in Toronto, I'm so far away. Can you still help me? 

Immigration Laws are federal so we can represent you irrespective of the province you live in. You have direct access to us via skype, telephone, email and fax.
Given the nature of an immigration law practice and the convenience of modern technology, many of our clients never physically visit our offices but feel totally connected to us.  We are very easily accessible.

There is so much free information online. Do I really need a lawyer?

You need a lawyer and not just any lawyer, but one with years of specialized immigration experience. If you had a cavity, you would never think of doing anything else except visit a dentist will you? You certainly wouldn't expect to receive treatment from your family doctor would you?
